Inspired by the Golden Mean, a classically proportioned grid played out onto annual reports, brochures, stationary and pocket folders. The concept of 'control within chaos' was realized in the dramatic image language and the tagline, Insight and Analysis. Some layouts depicted natural and destructive forces with calculations drawn on them, implying that they can be understood, or accounted for rationally. This idea of drawing the ‘math’ of things in the air was inspired by Russell Crowe’s character in A Beautiful Mind.

Other layouts were driven by visual juxtapositions of patterns (like the DNA and birch bark sequence above), or juxtapositions of macro and micro images. All these bring actuarial science concepts to life.
